OOC Rules

  • Be polite. This applies to all members, mods included. If you feel as if though you've been offended, bring it to attention.

  • OOC speech will probably rarely be family friendly, but if you have specific complaints, those are always to be addressed as they happen. Just remember, we're all adults.

  • Keep OOC out of IC and IC out of OOC. Those things shouldn't mix.

  • Retcons will be rarely considered and based on various factors. Poorly playing a character won't be one of those factors.

  • No metagaming. Metagaming is using outside knowledge in character. For example. My character has made a secret allegiance with another and betrayed yours. If your character automatically knows without any storyline play leading to that knowledge of that allegiance.

  • Please be inclusive of others. We purposefully create houses full of characters, most of whom will all have different typists. This is on purpose, it makes things interesting. It doesn't mean you can't write storylines with your friends, because that is where good play comes from.

  • Storylines don't need approval. Play it out! But it doesn't mean you can't give suggestions or ask to have help building one. Just keep in mind the logical consequences of your story line. Those will also be played out. If a story line seems un-necessarily targeting. IE: Your character kills another over, as a result of what may be a clearly OOCC issue, it may result in discussion then.

  • Keep in mind the nature of the story. Bad things happen, and your character might die, and you may have no control over it. We use turn based fighting.
